Thank you for your interest in obtaining a commercial or informational presentation. The State Fair of West Virginia has many opportunities available to all concessionaires. Please consider the following general information:
You will NOT receive communication about your application untill there is availability in the area where you have applied. Spaces are assigned to provide a variety of goods and services to our customers. Your application will be kept on file for three years and you may be contacted at any time. Additional questions should be addressed to our Concession Manager , 304.645.1090.
Food Vendors -All vendors are assigned a base rent for their operation based on location, type of product, similar concessions and type of stand. Operators pay a daily percentage of their total sales to the State Fair. The Fair will charge the operator the higher amount; either the base rent OR the total percentage of sales for the operation. Utility fees are additional and will be outlined when a lease agreement is presented. Food Vendor Application & Details
Outdoor Vendors -All rental fees are based on FRONT FOOTAGE of space assigned. Fees are charged per foot. Outdoor concessionairs who need to rent a tent for their exhibit may do so through the State Fair Event Center. Spaces are assigned in 5' increments and does not assign space less than 15' due to tent sizes and stake requirements. Indoor Vendors/Grandstand Marketplace -Indoor booth spaces are 10 x 10 and 10 x 13. Some spaces will have special features. Prices start at $425 and up for all nine days of the fair and include electric. Water is not available. Phone service and gate admission for staff are extra. Indoor Vendor Application & Details
Arts & Crafts/Heritage Village Marketplace -This area is designed for anyone wishing to sell a handcrafted product or is willing to demonstrate their work/craft. Preference will be given to those able to demonstrate their craft and to those crafters whose product the committe deems to be "hand-made". Spaces are 10 x 10, with double spaces available. Vendors have the choice of participating for 5 days (August 8-12), 4 days (August 13-16) or all 9 days (August 8-16). Artisans are juried so that a variety of items may be offered to fairgoers. State Agencies -Please note that ONLY official State Agencies qualify for space inside the West Virginia Building and ONLY Agricultural Agencies, appproved by the West Virginia Department of Agriculture, qualify for space inside the Gus R. Douglass Annex. Booth spaces are 10 x 10 with electrical service to each booth. Limited storage available. State agencies must submit an applicaiton before being ocnsidered for space in either the West Virginia Building or the Gus R. Douglass Annex. Spaces are limited and require a nine day commitment of staff and resources. Any agency that can not fulfill this commitment should consider a Community Service option. Non-Profit Organizations & Federal Agencies -Only official non-profit organizations and/or federal agencies will be considered for space. Exhibitors have a choice of participating for the entire nine days OR for one day. Any organization that can not commit staff and resources for nine days should consider the Community Service option. Community Service -Space is available on a first-come, first-choice of dates basis (Community Service) OR a nine day schedule.
