Every year the State Fair of West Virginia strives to offer an exciting array of FREE entertainment for folks of all ages!  The 2008 Fair is no different.  Join us on Saturday, August 9th and Saturday, August 16th for a SPECTACULAR fireworks display beginning at 10:30 pm. 

Listed below is a sample of some of the GREAT entertainment that you can be a part of when you and your family visit the State Fair of West Virginia!

Visit the Armour - Winning Family Favorites Tour display on Friday, August 8th - Sunday, August 10th from 10 am - 6 pm.  While there be sure to enjoy a delicious sample of Armour Chili and show off your tire changing skills in the "Pit Stop Challenge"!

The Kountry Kickers will bring exciting, crowd stompin' dance to the Fairgrounds on Sunday, August 10.  Performances will take place at 11 am, 12 noon,  2:30 & 3:15 pm near the DockDogs set.

Wednesday, August 13th is PepsiStuff Day!  Stop by to view the official Amp Energy, #88, Car - driven by Dale Earnhardt, Jr!  The car will be on display from 12 noon - 6 pm.

Gather around as, Surfer Joe, takes you through a spell binding show that will bring out the natural comedic behavior of the Sea Lions!  Watch as the Sea Lions balance, catch and retrieve objects, perform handstands, dance, sing and interact with you the audience.  By the close of the show, you will have fallen for these natural performers as you get to experience a magical moment with a close sea lion encounter of your own.

Visit the Sam's Club Family Fun Zone to learn the "MAGIC" of agriculture and become a Farmer for a Day!

Educational Agricultural Magic Show presented by Brad Matchett.  A quick paced, 25 minute show, that is fun for the WHOLE family!  Using agriculutral facts about West Virginia, you'll learn information such as, the average age of a WV Farmer, what percentage of farmers are women, ranking of broiler chickens, egg layers and milk production.

Pick a peck of apples, collect a dozen eggs or milk a cow!  When you stop by the Farmer for a Day area, you get the chance to do all that and more. 

Watch in awe as Mr. Peddlesworth, aka Brett Marshall, performs amazing tricks and stunts on a wide array of unique bicycles.  Traveling all over the world performing his own brand of skills and comedy incorporating bicycling has given Mr. Pedalsworth the great opportunity to view, collect, modify, and build THE most unique bicycles IN THE WORLD! Some ideas that simply popped into his head got drawn onto paper and sculpted in steel and rubber.  Simply Put - ONE OF A KIND!
