Getting Here -

The State Fair of West Virginia is located in Fairlea, WV, in the beautiful Greenbrier Valley and easily accessible form I-64 and US Route 219.

Traveling from East of Lewisburg, West Virginia:

• I-64 West to Exit 169/Lewisburg
• Turn Left on Route 219 South
• Follow 219 South through Lewisburg to State Fairgrounds (approximately 3 miles)

Travel time from Roanoke, Virginia; approximately 1 hour 30 mintes. Travel time from Convington, Virginia; approximately 30 minutes.

Traveling from West of Lewisburg, West Virgina:

• I-64 East to Exit 169/Lewisburg
• Turn Right on Route 219 South
• Follow 219 South through Lewisburg to state Farigrounds (approximately 3 miles)

Travel time from Charleston, West Virgina; approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Travel time from Beckley, West Virginia; 40 minutes.

Lodging -

When visiting the Sate Fair you have many choices for lodging. Whether you prefer to camp with friends and family, or the comforts of a hotel, you will find many options.

Camping:

• Public Camping is available for a one time $10 registration fee. These sites do not include electric or water, but do include access to four bathhouses.
• Several acres of tent/primitive camping are also available
• Restrooms and bathhouses on site
• General Public Camping Application
• Camping Application (concessionaires and exhibitors only)

Public Camping Sites with Electric:

Campers who previously camped at one of the 40 electric only sites, have been given first option for these site for the 2008 State Fair. Campers wishing to be added to a waiting list for these sites should contact the Fair in writing via e-mail or by mailing a letter to - PO Drawer 986/Lewisburg WV/24901.

All areas are patrolled by security on a regular basis. Complimentary shuttle rides to the main entrance of the Fairgrounds from the camping area run daily. For patrons who are interested in being considered for a full hook up space, an application is required.

Hotels, Inns & More:

For our out of town guests that would like to explore other lodging options, including hotels, inns, bed & breakfasts or cabin rentals, please contact the Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

We encourage you to make your plans early as many of the local lodging accomodations regularly sell out during the State Fair.

Accessibility -

The Fairgrounds is completely accessible by way of paved walkways, handicapped parking, wheel chair ramps/access to buildings, special drop off area for disabled guests, handicapped seating and interpreters for Grandstand performances.

Various rentals are also available for our guests:

• Wheelchairs - $12
• Electric Scooters - $50
• Wagons - $15
• Strollers - $8

All rentals are arranged at the "Fun Riders" tent located by Gate 1 near the Pedestrian Bridge. Rentals are paid for at the time of pick up and are for the entire day.
